Quick Order

Problem: Kicking and screaming in to the 21st century

There has been a long history of customers using the printed catalog to create their order by entering the item numbers in to a series of form fields. Oddly, the Quick Order This function is one of our most used accelerator tools, which converts more than purchase history or user-generated lists. Customers have simply memorized their numbers and prefer to make orders this way. While this is something that one wouldn’t expect, we could still make the experience better by updating the forms to be more contemporary by notifying the customer when there is a match or not.

Applying best practices

Validating each form field and showing the results improves the experience greatly, allowing errors to be seen and corrected as they are entered. Showing the product matches improves the overall accuracy of the order.
