Problem: Ink & Toner gets lost in search results

When the search engine is told where too look - it obviously performs better. Since Ink & Toner is one of our major profit areas the question was, “how can we get the customers to better direct their ink & toner search?” Better results would lead to better conversion.

How we ended up with 2 search boxes

Some interface explorations for directing search included, tabs, toggle switch, drop-down selector - and in the end - it proved to be to much effort for customers to make the selection.
